In Japan, the 5th of May is the day of Boy's Festival, and we display a decoration called 'koinobori' (carp streamer) for the day either outdoors on a flag pole or indoors in the drawing room.

A koinobori is a set of streamers in the shape of carps in different colors and sizes, and symbolises a hope for boys to succeed in his life.

We also display a decoration called 'Kabuto kazari' (Samurai Helmet) for the day.
